2023 Christmas and end of year celebration!

On the 9th of December 2023, we had our community kitchen as usual in addition to the year end and Christmas celebrations! This was our way of thanking all that have been involved in our journey thus far in Grace and care. Thanks to all the volunteers, donors and supporters for their loyalty and efforts to make the #communitykitchen a success. We are also extremely thankful to our RT.Hon. Mr Fabian Hamilton MP, for taking the time out from his busy schedule to attend our event. We are delighted for his surprise visit and his encouraging words towards our collective efforts.

Our first fundriaser at indian food festival 2023, kirkgate market

We are extremely proud that our first fundraiser was an absolute hit! We were one of the participating stalls at the Indian food festival held on 16th September 2023 at Kirkgate Market and were excited as this was our first time. The team worked exceptionally hard to organise the food, the transport, in-stall management and crowd management to ensure smooth operation. Our main dish 'Kadhi-chawal' or a yoghurt based curry with cumin rice was completely sold out and customers came back for second and third serves of our 'chaat' and 'mango lassi'. We are thankful to everyone who stopped by our stall and supported us. We are also grateful for Cllr Abigail Marshall Katung coming and supporting us on the day.

Visit of Cllr Abigail Marshall Katung

Really thankful for the presence of Cllr Abigail Marshall Katung, who is the food champion for the city to visit us. We were able to share our vision with her in the presence of the Head teacher of Primley Wood Primary School Mr Licence. By giving their time to visit and sharing their experience supporting our vision for the future, we felt privileged. They were impressed with the team's efforts and dedication in the hope to continue to flourish with the guidance and steering of such positive people!!

Food Pantry

We collect surplus food from various supermarkets to be distributed to families struggling due to the increase in the cost of living. Food bags are made for those families to help them through the week.
